I am Smt. Vid. Monicadevi K G, a Bharatanatyam dancer, teacher and choreographer, and a disciple of my beloved Guru Smt. Vidushi Padmaja Jayram. I have been learning Bharatanatyam under her guidance for the past 19 years. Alongside my performance journey, I have been teaching Bharatanatyam for over 10 years. I have had the opportunity to perform on various prestigious platforms and cultural festivals across India. I am also the founder and artistic director of Amogha Kaladhara Nrutyashale, where I strive to share the beauty, discipline and spiritual essence of Bharatanatyam with the next generation.

💃 More professional introduction I am Smt. Vid. Monicadevi K G, a trained Bharatanatyam artiste, teacher and choreographer based in Bengaluru. I am a dedicated disciple of Guru Smt. Vidushi Padmaja Jayram and have pursued Bharatanatyam under her guidance for nearly two decades. I have completed Junior, Senior and Pre-Vidwath examinations in Bharatanatyam and have received training in other Indian classical and traditional dance forms as well.

Over the years, I have performed at cultural festivals and prestigious platforms including Mysore Dasara, Hampi Utsava, Nandi Utsava and Doordarshan, among others. With more than a decade of teaching experience, my passion lies in nurturing students with strong fundamentals, abhinaya, nritta and an understanding of the traditional values of Bharatanatyam.

I am currently continuing my artistic journey as the founder of Amogha Kaladhara Nrutyashale, with a vision of enriching lives through the timeless art of Bharatanatyam.

My teaching approach combines traditional Bharatanatyam training with individual attention to each student. I focus on building strong fundamentals in adavus, rhythm, expressions and technique while helping students understand the meaning and beauty behind the art form. I encourage discipline, consistency and confidence, and prepare students for examinations, stage performances and their continued artistic journey.
