I'm a medical student who teaches biology and maths, and my approach is the same for both: understand how things work instead of memorising them. I break each topic into small, clear steps, work through problems and draw diagrams live on a digital tablet, and connect concepts to real-life and clinical examples so they stay in memory. I check understanding often with quick questions, then tailor my pace to each student's level. With a year of daily tutoring behind me, I've helped students go from struggling to confident. One went from 30% to 88% in two months. My goal is for students to understand deeply, enjoy the subject, and score well.
