I care deeply about technique, and about ensuring that my students truly understand what they are learning rather than simply learning to reproduce it. My curriculum also places importance on building perspective and emotional depth through reading and engaging with carefully chosen resources.

Having learnt in a Gurukul, I value the patience, discipline, and dignity towards the art form that come with traditional learning. At the same time, I consciously work to break the generational trauma often associated with this style of teaching, attempting to create an inclusive space that preserves the depth of tradition while allowing students to learn, think for themselves, grow, and find their own voice.

Having started learning this art form as an adult myself, I understand the particular challenges of learning later in life. I therefore have a special interest in helping adult students build a strong foundation and become proficient, confident practitioners of the art form.
